Julien, Shana and Dave
When I use to go up to San Francisco and visit Tobin, Julien would always be around and I'd always make it a point to try and stay out of his space. Not because of anything he ever did to me personally, in fact we barely talked and when we did he was super mellow but he'd always been one of the main guys that I looked up to and him and his friends were an intimidating bunch and I didn't want to be on the wrong side of their brutality. I preferred to appreciate their scene from a distance, all of those guys were my favorite skateboarders to watch, Sean Young, Joey Tershey, Cardiel, Noah Peacock... a really cool scene but it wasn't mine. I haven't spoken with Shana for a few years but Dave is still dealing with my issues, sorry Dave.

Art Lindsey 1964 Demolition Derby World Champion
These are a few photos of my Dad from back when he use to race super modifieds at Kearney Bowl in Fresno CA. From what I understand my Dad was a good driver but he usually didn't have the best equipment, still though he raced with Marshall Sargent, Al Pombo and all of the hot drivers on the west coast thru late 50's and 60's. My Dad did excel in the art of the Demolition Derby and won the 1964 world championship at Islip speedway in Long Island, New York.
